Lo que yo puedo hacer es...
Technology is an amazingly awesome resource but it is also incredibly addictive! Use your time on this Earth wisely. Put the technology to good use by allowing it to help you to be more successful instead of letting it be your downfall!
3-2-1. . . TIME OUT! The start of the second quarter is a great opportunity to take a short time out and assess your progress in Spanish class. It's expected that you will make mistakes when you try something new but how hard are you TRYING??? Also, do you still see the benefits of studying Spanish??
Is the class what you expected it would be like this year? What do you like? What would you like to change? Are you proud of your progress so far? What have you done well? What have you struggled with? Have you been using the website or other resources to study? Could you be working harder? Is there a specific topic that you would like to study this year?
Answer some of the questions from above and complete the following 3-2-1: write about three interesting things that you have learned this year in Spanish class, two things that you would like to know more about or that you hope to study this year and one thing that you could do to be more successful in (or outside of) Spanish class. Could you use Quizlet more? Could you use Duolingo? Lyric Training? Listening to Spanish music? Watching shows or movies with Spanish subtitles? Following Spanish speaking celebrities on social media? These are all great ways to start and accelerate your Spanish speaking progress!
Three things are learning about the day of the dead, learning about la llorona, and about the boot changing verbs. Two things I want to know more are transition words to create more fluent sentences, and learning about other spanish holidays. I think I could try using duolingo to help me learn spanish outside of the class. (Anina)

ReplyDeleteThis class is very much like I thought it would be. I like that it is clear what we need to learn for quizs and tests. I am proud of my progress so far and aim to do better in quarter 2. I have struggled with getting myself to study, but that has not been an issue for me recently. I think that I have started working harder as the year has gone on.

ReplyDelete1. I am proud of my progress
2. I could be working harder
3. I want to look more at the Spanish culture
This class has not been what I expected. I expected a much more strict class and it has been fun.
I expected Spanish 2 to be much more difficult than it is. I heard that it was much more advanced than Spanish 1, but I feel like it is just a reflection of Spanish 1 and adding some more sets of words to your Spanish vocab. I see this outcome as a good thing, making Spanish easy and enjoyable for me to learn. Although I see Spanish class as one of my stronger courses, I have had some difficulty with listening assessments and speaking. I hope to improve these skills, so I can successfully use the Spanish language in the future.

Spanish is what I expected. I like how much time we spend on vocabulary. What I would change is not have listening and speaking the main grade, for that's what I struggle with the most.

ReplyDeleteThis class is not what I thought it would be like, I thought it would be harder. I like all of the activities that we do and how we are not always sitting down and looking at the board. I use the quizlets and links that you give us to study. Three interesting things I learned are about Dia de los muertos, traveling, and the culture of Spanish speaking people. I would like to know more about food and animals. One thing I could do better outside of Spanish class is possibly study for longer and not all in one day.

I have learned a lot about dia de los muertos, and I understand the stuff we haev done this year so far even more. I would like to study more general verbs in everyday conversations and everyday nouns. If I were to change anything in this class it would be to learn more things because last quarter was very easy for me. Coming from another district, I have learned mostly everything we did last quarter but I enjoyed it overall because it was good review.

ReplyDeleteThis class is not what I expected this year. I expected it to be harder and to be very behind, but I actually am not and I understand a lot more than I expected. I like how much we are reviewing and the way we are doing the vocab. I want more interaction, like you look at a picture and match the vocab word with it. I am proud of my progress so far. I think I have really stayed on top of my work and given my best effort. I have struggled with some of the more obscure vocab that isn't used that often. I have been using quizlet and my mom helps me study a lot. I could be studying more, like when there isn't a quiz.
1.) culture
2.) baking competition
3.) difference between hispanic and latino
I find spanish culture interesting, irregular yo verbs, and day of the dead stuff interesting. I hope to learn more about the use of a second language in everyday life. Studying could make me get better at literally everything.

ReplyDeleteThis class is what I have expected. I like how we do fun activites rather than just doing worksheets everyday. I would like to change the amount of interaction we do. We should do more things that could help us learn better. I am proud of my progress so far because I was stressed about going into Spanish 2 but it is not as bad as I thought. I have done well with vocabulary. I have stuggled with talking and pronouncing words. Also, making sentances. I have been using the quizlets to study. I could be working harder with studying and practicing speaking.
3 intresting things I have learned are about culture, celebrations, and boot verbs.
2 baking compition

This class is pretty much what I expected it to be. It is much like my spanish class last year, however it is a little bit more challenging.
